Booking rules by state
Utah state park camping reservations
How far ahead you can book, what time dates open, and the rules that trip people up.
The rules
- Individual campsites book on a rolling 4-month window. Utah's example: on January 10, sites are bookable through May 10. Source, checked November 2, 2026
- A stay can run up to 13 days past the last date in the window. Group sites open 11 months ahead. Source, checked November 2, 2026
- Utah State Parks doesn't publish a release time. Check ReserveAmerica early that morning. Source, checked November 2, 2026
- Every reservation carries an $8 reservation fee. Source, checked November 2, 2026
Book on ReserveAmerica, the official system run for Utah Division of State Parks.

Get the reminder by email
One email the week before the big Mountain West dates (each Angels Landing seasonal lottery, Havasupai's on-sale day, and Rocky Mountain's first timed entry release once it's announced). Nothing else.
Before any reminder, you'll get one email asking you to confirm. It comes from New England Reservations (hello@newenglandreservations.com), our sister site. Unsubscribe anytime. See the privacy policy.
